The Crayon Scheme

A group got together to share blocks. Each took a crayon from a box and that was the color they had to use as the main color in a nine patch block. Then all the blocks were passed around and a lot of different quilts were made.

Someday I'll have pictures of all of them, but for now this is the one I made. It was going to be too big to go on my new quilting machine so I took a patch off it and put it on the back.

Carousal?

I'd call this quilt "Carousal" if I was sure of the spelling. So I call it "Merry-Go-Round". In any case, it brings back fond memories of happy times and happy music. It measures 42" X 54" and was a great deal of work - not what I usually do.

I used a pattern of Debora Konchinshy's. She draws the best animals I've ever seen. You can see her other patterns at her website here.

Pretty Posies

"Pretty Posies" are hand appliqued and simple enough to be a lot of fun to do. This is my second one.

Shades Of Baltimore

This was a real challenge but I love it. I used the pattern called "Shades of Baltimore" by Shades Textiles. Their web address is www.shadestextiles.com if you'd like to try it. It measures 45 " square.
